However, I called the number and was delighted that he is still working and is so keen to work with lead, that he drops just about everything else to do so!

He turned up at my new house within a couple of hours of calling him and measured the job, promising to return the following day to put a new lead roof on my bay window. In the meantime, he felted the new bay top to keep it waterproof.

The next day (a Saturday), Colin returned and started work on my new lead roof.

Every seam was welded and lead was shaped to match the existing bay window. The end result is that I have a new, waterproof lead roof that will last just about forever.

The job took a few hours to complete and great care was taken to make sure that the job was perfect and watertight.

This has been put to the test, as within 24 hours, we had heavy downpours of rain and the inside of the bay remains completely dry.
